QuikSand sanding & paint stripping tools are very easy to use. They’ll make your smoothing, paint stripping, and varnish removal chores easier and faster. Creating less airborne dust, they also make your work area better.
Use like sandpaper for varnish removal, smoothing, paint stripping, and sanding. May be used wet or dry. Stroke briskly back and forth over surface using moderate pressure until surface is smooth & consistent. Don’t press hard; let the block do the work. When using on wood always sand with the grain. The Rusted Metal block will abrade metal surfaces. Test on inconspicuous area first.
When using for paint stripping or varnish removal, if paint builds up on the block, simply tap it or rub in on a hard surface such as concrete to release. Clean any remaining residue off surface using a brush or clean cloth before applying any sealer or coat of paint. To release accumulated dry dust, tap the end of the block gently against the wall or other flat surfaces.
Note: As when using any abrasive, wear eye protection and a NIOSH-approved dust mask. For sensitive skin, wear gloves.
Caution: DO NOT USE for fine sanding, where steel wool is recommended, on aluminum or stainless steel where you don’t want visible scratching.
